Susie's Aspen - Social Media Content Coaching
Project Overview: Susie’s Aspen Social Media Content Coaching
Our social media expert Amanda Rome West provided social media content coaching services for Susie’s Aspen, a popular high-end consignment store based in Aspen, Colorado. The owner (Marley Regan) came to Amanda and the Watchlight Entertainment team to revamp her social media presence through coaching. Amanda coached Marley on how to create content, edit it, write captions, and more for Instagram and TikTok. Now the Susie’s Aspen social media presence showcases the best items for sale and the vibe in her store, all while keeping the owner in charge of her own posting and promotion.
Creating Social Media Presence and Reviewing Analytics
Amanda taught the business owner how to maintain an excellent social media presence from top to bottom. With engaging and exciting opportunities for clientele to purchase expensive designer items straight from the posts (while the Susie’s Aspen website is in development), visitors immediately wanted to follow the Susie’s Aspen account to tune in for future items they’d like to buy. The engaging element to the content that showcases the items for sale is what drives followers to her page. Over a period of roughly 2 months, Amanda more than doubled Susie’s Aspen’s followings on both Instagram and TikTok through reviewing the analytics thoroughly and curating the content to that segmented audience.
Coaching Owner on How to Create, Edit, and Post Content
Amanda coached the business owner on how to create, edit, write captions for, and post compelling content targeted toward her Aspen-based clientele. To stand out from the clutter of other consignment stores in such a small and wealthy town, Amanda showed her how to utilize hashtags, key words, sounds, locations, and even fully fleshed-out giveaway campaigns to rank higher in the social media algorithm over other similar shops. She manually coached the owner on how to respond to comments, post to Instagram Stories, and fully utilize all social media features to properly promote Susie’s Aspen.
Liaising Susie’s Aspen Website Creation
The business owner didn’t know what she needed for her website, which she doesn’t have yet. Amanda laid out each tab and section of the proposed website and its suggested inclusion of an online storefront to add onto the in-person one. She then formulated and passed along the design to a vetted + seasoned fashion website designer so that he can next reflect Amanda’s vision on the Susie’s Aspen website build. Amanda will then provide notes on any aspect of the site that can be improved.
Holding the Owner Accountable to Metrics
Amanda held the business owner accountable to her metrics. Every coaching session, the two reviewed the previous week’s metrics based on each post’s engagement levels. This then showed Amanda what the business owner needed to shift or pivot on for the following week’s pieces of content. Amanda distills social media down to a science, which helps her busy clients narrow down exactly what they need to be posting and when.
Social Media Content Engagement Rates
To increase engagement, Amanda coached Susie’s Aspen on how to now post quality and funnel-based content to directly convert viewers from just watching the content on socials into becoming actual clients who pop by the storefront to purchase consigned items. Susie’s Aspen social media presence now directs potential and current clientele to come by the shop to partake in specific sales, events, and even raffles. Amanda has brought Susie’s Asoen engagement up by ~150% because she taught the business owner how to harness social media content posting into creating more clients. This engagement ensures her business is pushed to Aspen residents in the For You and Explore pages, which, in turn, not only increases followership of the social accounts, but also brings potential clients into the physical storefront.
Case Study Conclusion
Overall, Amanda’s coaching for Susie’s Aspen has more than doubled the business’ following and increased its engagement by ~145%. It will bring a larger potential clientele into her physical storefront and keep them following along online, eagerly anticipating upcoming sales + events in-store. Amanda completely overhauled the entire Susie’s Aspen social media presence and turned it from a lackluster screenshot-reposting “dead account” into a vibrant and bustling online community. With a flair for beautiful consigned designer items and a showcase of the all-female staff, Susie’s Aspen’s social media presence now captures the beautiful and exciting energy in the store itself, and is converting more and more potential clientele into actual buyers. Additionally, Amanda’s liaising of the website design ties in the gorgeous social media presence to the store itself, creating synergy between the online and in-person versions of Susie’s Aspen.
